Spring & Summer

Fishing and swimming are the typical Spring and Summer activities, yet a little exploration will take you to breathtaking waterfalls, hundreds of lakes, hiking and biking trails, flora fauna, the Porcupine Mountains and much more.

Lake Gogebic offers walleye, perch, small mouth bass, northern pike and pan fish. The Resort carries a full line of fresh bait & tackle, 2 - 128 foot docks with electricity. Guide Service is also available.

Fall

Fall's spectacular show of beautiful color is displayed by a wide variety of trees. Birds, deer and bear provide hunting in the surrounding forests, rivers and lakes.

The sport of ATV's and Side by Sides is growing by leaps and bounds! In just a short time hundreds of miles of awesome trails have been added to the area for your enjoyment. Rentals are available close to the Resort. Visit www.mi-trale.org for more ATV trail information.

Winter

Winter's are breathtaking! With an annual snowfall in excess of 200 inches, there are hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails. If you don't own a sled, you can rent snowmobiles from one of the facilities within a few miles of the Resort. Whether you downhill or cross-country ski, you will not be disappointed with the slopes and trails near The Timbers Resort.

Ice fishing? You bet! Lake Gogebic offers some of the best walleye and jumbo perch fishing through the ice in the country. Ice Fishing Guide Service Available.
