About Your Hosts:

Tim, Sarah & MaKenzie Long

A family of six, we have four children ranging from teens to twenty’s.

Prior to purchasing the Resort in June, 2008, Tim worked in the paper industry for over 25 years.  Tim is a U.S.CoastGuard licensed Captain and has also been a fishing guide for over 13 years, bringing this experience to the Lake Gogebic area. Tim will continue to guide for walleye at The Timbers Resort (www.eyes-guy.com). Tim has participated in walleye tournaments fishing at a professional level including the PWT, FLW Tour and League events, the Master Walleye Circuit and other tournaments around the upper Midwest.

Sarah has been in the Hospitality business for over 25 years gaining experience in all aspects of this industry. Sarah works from her satellite office at home for Blue Harbor Resort a Great Wolf Property which is a large resort & conference center in northeast Wisconsin on Lake Michigan. Sarah will be applying this valuable experience to The Timbers Resort.

With all of this background and a desire for many years to own a family oriented, hunting & fishing resort, The Timbers Resort was a perfect match for us.

Plans are in place to modernize and develop The Timbers Resort into the best sportsman’s & family vacation resort in Michigan's U.P.
